Finding Sales
How do I search for garage sales?
Visit the Browse page and enter your city, state, or zip code in the search bar. You can also toggle to map view to see sales visually on a map.
Can I filter sales by category?
Categories are shown on each sale listing. You can see what types of items are available before visiting.
How often are new sales added?
Sales are added by the community in real-time. Check back regularly to see new listings in your area.
Saving Sales
How do I save a sale?
Click the heart icon on any sale listing to save it to your favorites. You'll need to be logged in to use this feature.
Where can I see my saved sales?
Visit your Dashboard to see all your saved sales in one place.
Can I unsave a sale?
Yes, click the heart icon again to remove a sale from your saved list.
Listing a Sale
How do I list my garage sale?
Click 'List Your Sale' in the navigation, sign in or create an account, then fill out the listing form with your sale details.
Is it free to list a sale?
Yes! Listing your garage sale on YardHunts is completely free.
Can I add photos to my listing?
Yes, you can upload photos when creating your listing to showcase your items.
How do I edit or delete my listing?
Visit your Dashboard to manage your listings. You can edit or deactivate any of your sales.

How do I create an account?
Click 'Sign In' in the navigation, then choose to create a new account with your email and password.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the sign-in page, use the password reset option to receive a reset link via email.
Can I change my display name?
Yes, visit your Dashboard and update your profile settings.
Safety
Is my personal information safe?
We take privacy seriously. Your email is never shared publicly. Only the sale location and details you choose to share are visible.
How should I stay safe at garage sales?
Always meet in public, well-lit areas. Bring a friend if possible. Trust your instincts and don't carry large amounts of cash.
How do I report a suspicious listing?
Contact us through our Contact page with details about the listing, and we'll investigate promptly.
Payments
Does YardHunts handle payments?
No, YardHunts is a listing platform only. All transactions happen directly between buyers and sellers at the sale.
What payment methods should I accept?
Cash is most common at garage sales. Some sellers also accept Venmo, PayPal, or other mobile payment apps.
